Follow-ups and clarifications
You don’t have to repeat yourself. A short follow-up such as “only in Elsrijk” is combined with your previous question into a complete new one, and a short reply to a clarifying question is used the same way.
Refining a previous question
What are the 10 largest parks? then: only in Elsrijk
Hoeveel bomen per wijk? then: en in Aalsmeer?
Buildings in Amstelveen before 1960 then: now before 1945
A message that is already a complete question is always treated as a new one. When GeoAI is unsure whether a message is a follow-up, it treats it as new.
Answering a clarifying question
When a question cannot be answered as asked, GeoAI explains why and often asks for the missing piece. Your short reply is merged with the original question in the same way:
Which old buildings are in Randwijck? GeoAI: “old” is not a value in the data. Which construction year do you mean?
before 1950 becomes: Which buildings in Randwijck were built before 1950?
How sessions work
- Each browser tab is its own conversation.
- GeoAI remembers your last spatial question or its last clarifying question, not the whole chat. Chat and catalogue questions don’t change this memory.
- The context expires after about half an hour without activity; after that, every message starts fresh.
- The merge may only use words and facts you supplied. It never adds filters, places or thresholds of its own.
Technical noteConversation state is held in server memory per session and is not stored permanently. Each answered question also keeps its final plan, which is what the download buttons re-run to produce the full result.
