Conversational GIS · Amstelveen & Aalsmeer

Ask the municipal map a question. Get a real answer, or an honest “I can’t”.

GeoAI lets anyone ask questions about municipal geodata in plain Dutch or English. It finds the right datasets, plans the analysis, runs it on the real data and explains the result, including what the data does and does not cover.

What GeoAI is

Municipalities hold hundreds of geographic datasets: trees, buildings, energy labels, noise zones, sewers, parking, green areas, monuments, demographics and more. Answering even a simple question across them usually needs a GIS specialist who knows which dataset to open, how it is structured and how to combine it with the district boundaries.

GeoAI puts that knowledge behind a chat box. A policy advisor can ask “Which buildings in Bankras still have energy label F or G?” and get the answer in seconds, with the data it came from, the analysis that produced it and a download to open in GIS tools or Excel.

The promise behind every answer

A correct answer, or an honest “I can’t”, never a confident wrong one. When the data cannot answer a question, GeoAI says so, explains why, and suggests what it can do instead. A refusal is treated as a good outcome, not a failure. How GeoAI stays honest →
